Since parties are expensive, figuring out how much you have and want to spend is essential. If you don’t have a lot, a small gathering will work. If you want to splurge, rent a reception hall, dj and go to town! It’s completely up to you.
When Will It Be?
This is by far the hardest part of throwing a party. You may have guests that are coming from different parts of the country or friends that are having their party on the same day. Whatever you do, be considerate of your guests and the family.
Where Will The Party Be?
This is the creative stuff. It can be in a park, a beach backyard, a hotel, a hall you name it. Hell, even try spending one half at home and the rest at an amusement park.
The Guest List
Usually parents are involved but they’ll probably let you give some input. Friends, family, teachers, professors. They should be on the list.
To Cook Or Not To Cook
This depends on how big your party is going to be. If it’s small and you want to cook, go for it. But remember cooking for a party that could be potentially grow is time consuming. So you’re next option is to get the party catered or you can do both.
Depending on where your party is along with the amount of people. A DJ or a Band could be a way to go.
the sooner these get out, the better. Also you can design your own invites and make your invites special and personal.
This is the best part! Make your decor personal and fun. Use balloons, signs for the inside and outside, photo blow-ups and cutouts. Make it fun!
Here are some fun ideas. Personalized candy wrappers, cookies, lollipops, and mint tins are great ideas for favors. Display these at special tables with graduation glasses and get some glow jewelry.
Since all the planning is done. Sit back and enjoy the day. Have fun.Graduating is a huge accomplishment!
